Juvenile idiopathic arthritis is a common form of arthritis in children ages 16under with no definite causes. The affected child will experience fever, lethargic and reduced appetite and may be limping. Rashes also develop in arms and legs. There are three types of JIA: Oligoarticular JIA (affects 4 or fewer joints), Polyarticular JIA (affects 5 or more joints), and Systemic JIA (affects many joints and can spread to organs).
